At the Microsoft 365 Community Conference 2026, I joined fellow MVP Laura Rogers a livestreaming of Power Hour to talk about the latest SharePoint modern UI updates and how Copilot is becoming part of everyday Microsoft 365 work.
We covered the new SharePoint intro page and Discover pane, Copilot at the page level, Copilot in Teams chat, custom skill prompts, and the newer Agent 365 admin experience for visibility into agent usage and licensing considerations.
The main takeaway was simple: AI does not magically fix bad collaboration habits. Copilot and agents still depend on solid foundations like permissions, metadata, content quality, governance, and adoption planning.
For organizations getting started, the best path is not to turn the whole tenant into a science experiment. Start with focused pilots, target licensing where it makes sense, review what people are actually using, and adjust as you learn.
SharePoint is changing fast, and Copilot is changing how people work. The organizations that get the most value will be the ones doing the boring work well enough that the new features have something useful to build on.
Huge thanks to Laura for inviting me to be part of the conversation and for creating a space where we could turn all these updates into something practical.
