Something really awesome happened to me at #CollabDaysUtah this weekend that I want to share with everyone:
Nearly a year ago in May 2023, I gave my first talk about #PowerPlatform solutions in London. It wasn’t my first Community Days event but it was my first one about Power Platform, at a #MSDynamics365 one of all places(!!!). It was FRIGHTENING but it was also something I cared so much about that I knew I just had to share my experiences because not many others were talking about the importance of #ALM and a well thought out strategy about Environments and Solutions. It wasn’t perfect and it still isn’t and I could have been destroyed by the attendees, I could have fallen apart, but I didn’t. I felt really welcomed and my points were all well received that I knew I had to do it again.
Fast forward a couple months, I kept pushing my message and I was fortunate enough to be able to do it again in Boston for #CollabdaysNewEngland, Ottawa at #M365Ottawa, Mexico City at #CDMexicoCity, Washington, DC at #M365DC, and finally yesterday. So many new features have been introduced ever since (most still in preview mode), and while my session is not dated, I knew Utah was going to be the last time I was presenting this iteration of it.
Unbeknownst to me, sitting in the small audience in Utah was Jamel ABED – who had also been there at my very first session in London and chose to see my session again amongst so many other great speakers. That right there is why I chose to be in this community. That right there is what justified all the personal efforts I made to push my message across the past couple months.
It will be a little bit until you see me presenting again because I have been focusing on a few other priorities including a new job that has been an incredibly fulfilling experience but I PROMISE this was not the last time you heard from me!
I am so thankful to be part of this community and am so grateful of every single one of you who gave me an hour or more of your time. I know I’m still very much an acquired taste, but I have been working really hard on improving myself and your amazing feedback keeps me going. Contribution after contribution, what I get from you all in return is WAY more than what I put in and I am fully aware of that because you make it all worth it!
Thanks for reading!
